All the way back to Eve
Circleville is a community along the Scioto River, about fifty miles south of Columbus, OH. There, on the 15th day of September, 1873, is where Winifred Esther Ruth was born.
Her parents were Henry Wysel Ruth (1851-1915) and Nellie Stunnie Welsh (1856-1930) and her little sister, Nellie, was two years younger. On June 1st, 1885 the family was in Pueblo, Colorado, presumably on there way to Salt Lake City.
Wini married William Richard Hocking (1867-1927) in Salt Lake on February 24th, 1894. The couple moved to Austin, Lander, Nevada where, in 1896 & 1897, daughters Ruth and Beryl were born. Richard and Wini divorced in 1905.
She married Thomas Alexander Mulholland (1865–1948) in Ogden, Utah on April 20, 1907. They had three children; Eileen Grace (1907–1976), John Martin (1911–1988) and Robert Behle (1915-1975). Winifred passed away in Salt Lake City on the 15th of November, 1929.
